UTSAV has been working with woven textiles traditions at heritage centres of handlooms for twenty years, providing design direction to weavers and printers. The endeavor has been two-fold: to nurture and sustain India’s fabulous heritage wealth of handloom weaving and to simultaneously re-energize the craftsmen with aesthetic contemporary design and colour sensibilities, all of which enhance the enduring grace, utility and marketability of our handlooms, thereby ensuring continuity, viability and incrementality in this vital national sector.
